Primary Teeth
It is very important for children to keep their primary(baby teeth) teeth healthy even though they will eventually lose these teeth. Children need to keep primary teeth in place until lost naturally to be able to hold spacing for permanent teeth and help in the aid of speech development.
A Child’s First Visit
Parents are encouraged to bring their children in early so they can become familiar with the office. The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recommends that children should see the dentist when the first tooth appears or no later than the child’s first birthday. The parent and Dr. Barr can discuss how early professional cleanings can be started. Dr. Barr and his staff will create a comfortable, relaxed atmosphere for your child.
